Get creative with this plant holder crochet pattern by adding a pop of color to the top, Or just keep it simple and classic. Either way, it will give just the right decorative touch to your plant baby’s holder.

- Finished height measures approximately 4” at the highest point of wave.
- Finished circumference measures approximately 12.25” at the base and approximately 15.5” at the top.

pattern written in US terms
what you will need:
- 1 skein Lily Sugar n’ Cream cotton (or approximately 80 yds) in Soft Ecru or another #4 worsted weight yarn
- Size US H/5 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge. To save time make sure to check gauge. GAUGE: 12SC x 17rows = 4×4”

pattern notes:
- The body of this plant holder crochet pattern is worked from the bottom up.
- The waves are slightly asymmetrical and are meant to have an organic feel. They won’t be even all the way around
- Pay careful attention to the instructions in parenthesis.

- CH – chain
- CH-1 SP – chain 1 space
- SLST – slip stitch
- SC – single crochet
- SC2TOG – single crochet 2 together
- HDC – half double crochet
- DC – double crochet
- TR – treble crochet
- BLO – back loop only

- Single crochet 2 together (SC2TOG) – insert hook in first SC, yarn over and pull up a loop, but do not finish your SC (leave 2 loops on hook – photo #1 below) insert hook in next SC, (photo #2 below) yarn over pull up a loop, (3 loops on hook – photo #3 below) yarn over and pull through 3 loops on hook. Turn plant holder upside down to work from the bottom.
CH 1 does not count as ST throughout bottom

You will now begin decreasing
