First up on the fabric yarn agenda – these super cute boho headbands! I made lots of these when I first opened my Etsy shop! And I had so much fun finding new batik fabrics and materials to use for them! Here are just a few that I’ve made over the years…
I used leather quite a bit for these headbands as well. This leather lace from Hobby Lobby works great! There are several color options and the turquoise is definitely one of my faves! π

This tutorial is very beginner friendly! If you know how to make a crochet chain then you are good to go! In the video below, I walk you through step-by-step on how to make your crochet headband – from finding the perfect measurement for your custom size, to hand-sewing the elastic band on your headband. You can decide if you want to make a single, double or triple-strand!…Or maybe all three! π All of these styles are covered in the video!

I’m starting to see headbands everywhere, so now is the perfect time to make a few of these babies! Have fun and get creative – maybe mix your fabric prints for your double and triple-strand headbands, or add in some leather or cord! I can’t wait to see what y’all come up with! Tag @yokieb and #yokiebbohoheadbands on Instagram so I can see your awesome makes!! π
what you will need:
- measuring tape
- scissors
- needle & thread
- needle-nose pliers
- 3/8″ or 1/2″ braided elastic
- crochet hook/s (I use 4.25mm & 6.5mm)
- fabric yarn strips at least 2 1/2 yds long (you can also use leather lace or cord – it just needs to be something that’s durable and doesn’t stretch too much)
