crochet key-ring for hanging strands
Begin with a SLST around ring. (photos below)
CH 1, SC all the way around ring. Slide SC’s together as you go so that no keyring is showing. (photos below)
You will have approximately 32 SC; join with SLST in first SC. (photo below)

SLST in each SC around; join with SLST. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
crochet loops for hanging strands
Place stitch marker in space between the two TR STS closest to seam. Measure 5” to the right of that stitch marker and place another stitch marker, then measure 5” to the left of first ST marker, place ST marker here as well. You should have approximately 5” in between each of the 3 ST markers. (photo below)

Loops: (REP steps where each ST marker is placed)
CH 21; join with SLST to form round around top edge of hanger. (photo below)

CH 1, working on raised side of CH, (see first 2 photos below for difference in raised and flat side of CH) SC in next and each CH around. (working on the raised side of CH will give you a clean and uniform edge as shown in 3rd photo below) (20 SC) Join with SLST in first SC. Fasten off. Weave in ends. Adjust loop/s so that the seam is on the bottom, closest to the top edge of the body of the hanger.
hanging strands
Cut 9 strands of yarn 25” long (or desired length) and divide them into 3 sections of 3 strands. Holding one 3-strand section of yarn together, tie a knot around the loop. (black arrows in photo below) With tapestry needle and 3-strand section, string 10mm bead onto the knot just made. Tie one more knot on top of the bead. (photo below) REP these steps for the other two loops. Trim ends of knot strands to desired length. (red arrows in photo below)

tassel
Cut 9 strands of yarn 15” long. Approximately ½” from bottom, with all 9 strands on tapestry needle (left photo below), pull them through the bottom of plant hanger until you reach the middle. Your yarn strands will measure approximately 7.5” on each side. (right photo below)
With tapestry needle, weave all yarn strands through 14mm bead. (left photo below) It may help to weave in one side of yarn strands through at a time for an easier fit. Bring bead up until it’s touching the bottom of the hanger. (middle photo below) Adjust all yarn strands so they are even and uniform. Tie a knot at the base of the bead. (right photo below) Trim tassel to desired length.
Tie all 3-strand sections together onto the keyring. Place plant in holder and hang! I hope you enjoyed this crochet plant hanger pattern! Congrats on your new make! Sign up for the yokieB newsletter [here] and be the first to know when new patterns are released!
